REFUGE IN THE SIERRA DE MADRID MOUNTAINS

This project was designed for a plot of land nestled amongst rocks with stunning views over a reservoir and the entire Sierra de Madrid Mountain Range. The home consists of a large glass cube with a two-story living room to maximize the panoramic view. The master bedroom is at the upper part of the cube, and it has a large terrace attached.

Below the terrace are another two bedrooms with two bathrooms. If you go down a few stairs between the rocks, you will get to an indoor terrace with a pool and a relaxation area. Inside, wood and white paint; simplicity.

The use of industrialized white concrete on all facades reinforces the insulation of the home, which with a hot/cold aerothermal installation achieves great energy efficiency.
