Country house
The brief was to design a family home for weekends and holidays. The plot, on the front line of a reservoir, had an exceptional value: its privileged views over the water, which became the main axis of the project from the very first moment and shaped every design decision.
The architecture is made of simple, clear lines, with all rooms facing the landscape and arranged around a wide terrace that acts as a natural extension of the interior. The continuity between living space and outdoors is one of the proposal’s most notable values.
The materials combine grey industrialised concrete with wooden window frames, balancing contemporary sobriety and warmth. The choice of these materials responds to aesthetic criteria as well as to their durability and low maintenance, particularly relevant in a holiday home.
On the upper floor there is a large multi-purpose space for games, guests or TV, which also has its own private terrace.
The result is a home conceived under the principles of timelessness, elegance and functionality, where architecture and landscape engage in harmony and the natural setting becomes the true protagonist.
